Sound problem in windows xp sp3

Hello,
the sound doesn't appear when playing moviesn but
the system sound such as logoff sound , login sound appears.

Dear Sir,

Please check whether the sound has not been muted on the

application. The problem should be coming from the application.

Try opening it with another application to confirm the matter.

Also try updating your drivers.

no the problem is as usual. i have checked that the sound is not muted. i have heard that xp sp3 has got problem with the sound devices. is it true?
