Stupid Virus

Hello,
Yesterday i got a virus called TrojanDownloader:Win32 now i cant see any file or folder on my desktop or any where i only see the programs that are installed i got rid of the virus but still its the same can some one pls tell me how to get my files back coz they are really important to me
