Resolution of screen Closed

Hello,

Purchased HPDV2000. Computer is fine.  Screen appears to have horizontal lines throughout. Not sure how to convert to sharp resolution?

Dear Sir, 

This is actually a problem with the monitor. You should however check the 

cables for the display image and also the graphic card.
