First, try restarting your computer.
Second, try checking all the cables (maybe you kicked it by accident and knocked it out)
Third, check under device manager (right click Computer>Properties>Device manager) and check that the sound drivers dont have any yellow exclaimation marks beside them.
If all these make no difference, check your sound card. It may have died.
