i just put xp pro on my acer one and it is very slow. and the bars on task manager proformance looks like its not trying to work, programs nor responding

Hi there,

Free spaces on the hard drive and make a disk defragmentation,download disk defrag software on link below :

https://ccm.net/download/download-1704-o-o-defrag

Right click on C: drive and make a disk cleanup to get more soaces on drive as well as make it faster also.

try taking the battery out.
and running it directly from the mains adapter.
I have had a couple of Acer's that have done this.
but run perfectly with no battery, or by replacing the battery.
don't ask my why.
