Laptop i think is officaly broken Closed

Question

Hello,
My computer, whenever i boot it all i see is black, i got it up to the boot menu but then, something happened and now it wont go anywere. I need the computer because it is my life line to the outside world. What should i do, i think i may need the installation disk for xp. 
What should i do?
