Ipod causing computer to crash

Hello,
I have a ipod touch and have just intalled new update which then deleted all my music and now causes my laptop to crash when plugged in, i am using XP, can anyone help

Dear Sir,

There could actually be a virus infection or a corrupted file on it that is causing the trouble.
