Hello,

The laptop that i have turns on for a few seconds then turns off. When i press the power button, you can hear the fans running and everything trying to warm-up for 5 seconds with a black empty (the back-lights aren't on), and then afterward it just turns off completely. I just want to get this one laptop working. could there be something wrong screen because the backlights aren't on, a harddrive problem because it wont boot, or is it a bios problem? Please help

Thanks

Hi there,

Its an overheating issue, you will have to clean the heatsink of the laptop and use a usb cooler pad, more information on link below from Faq:

is this always the symptom of overheat? like dead screen and continual turnning off of the laptop by itself after a few seconds? so after we fix it both the screen and the computer will run correct?

It can be a couple different things, you could have a bad battery, or it could be an overheating issue. Usually with overheating it takes more than a few seconds though unless your fan has died completely. Even if it died completely it should last at least a minute or two. Try running it in the freezer or at least under a fan to see if it lasts any longer. If it doesnt I'd guess you need a new battery.
