NO AUDIO DEVICE ON LAPTOP

ok...so im running on windows XP and my laptop says i have NO AUDIO DEVICE and as i was reading through the other posts i noticed that the one i seem to be missing is SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC. i recently did a system restore on my computer and when i did it came back up with no sound. how to i get this device reinstalled on my laptop?

Hello Melissa,

I suggest that you need a driver. Please, what brand is your laptop? Dell?
