There was no warning, it just started happening, i did not installed anything.

Local area network shows lots of bites sent but few received, when vuze is on, if vuze is off there are still more send bites than received.
Opera, Firefox, IE, Google Chrome or CometBird can't find any server,
No program can update, I have NODE32 antivirus but no firewall.
I cant access Security Center in control pannel, when I click to open it, there is no response at all.
is that a virus?

Please help!

I faced the same problem on Ubuntu 10.04 with Huawei usb modem.
for a long time I was using gnome-ppp which solved the problem.

Recently I realized that I can surf with built in broadband connection when all other network devices are disabled (or not connected).

I seems that ubuntu waits for replay from network connections, and if there is no only after that looking at broadband.
Who knows how to fix it?

u can't browse any websites because the bites of received few than the bites of sent... so u need to wait until the received is more than the sent... then u just can browse the internet...
