Touchpad tapping is enabled / disabled with the FN +F9 key on dv6000s I think. The other option is to go into the control panel and find the Synaptic Touchpad Settings, the tap on / off is in there somewhere. I do not have a HP box at the moment to try so thats a best guess based on the many I have reverted from Vista to XP.
Personally I hate the tappy scrolly thing it drives me crazy, I rip the drivers out and use a proper mouse 8-)
