Write protected pendrive can not format

hello this is Bhanu and my hp 16gb pendrive is not getting formatted and whenever I try to format it, it shows I/O error.so you please give me the best solution to format it please..........

no sir its not working on my 16gb hp pendrive............
i tried to format it by downloading the tool suggested by you and it shows write protected error.

I don't know where you got the idea that there was a tool to download for there are none.

Here is what to do in detail to remove the write protection:

1. Open Start Menu
2. Run, type regedit and press Enter, this will open the registry editor.
3. Navigate to the following path:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorageDevicePolicies

4. Double click the key WriteProtect in the right pane and set the value to 0 In the Value Data Box and press OK button

5.Exit Registry

6. Restart your computer and re-connect your USB pen drive on your computer.

Now, please tell me if you have succeeded.

go to mycomputers>rightclick >manage>diskmanagement> click to ur disk right click>format
