Toshiba off after 10 seconds

i had a virus and i downloadad avast, it was repairing it and the laptop turned off, i keep trying to turn it on but it will only stay on until it gets to the windows set up screen where it turns on,

NEED HELP PLEASSEEEE!

You may be badly infected and ill advise o format system and make new fresh installation of windows.
