I have a Dell Inspiron 6000 notebook and the battery is low and needs to be replaced. Since then the power cord will not make a good connection to keep the laptop running. If I keep constant pressure on the cord it will make a connection but as soon as I take the pressure off it will lose the connection. I assume if I get a new battery, my laptop will just drain the battery and the power cord wont charge it since it's not making a connection. Any ideas.

Thanks
