no sound devices in windows xp Closed

Question

i have formated windows xp and installed a new one. however, i could not hear a sound from the player (example windows media player) i have. i could not see constant screen of texts; it blackened in every seconds of i move the mouth. 
has anbody out there get me a solution for this?
