Apple iPod Nano 2nd Generation

Hello,

My iPod goes off when I disconnect it from the pc & will not turn back on. When it's connected to the pc the following screens appear on the iPod: Connected, Eject before diconnecting, synchronizing, iPod sync complete, Why does it then say Ejecting, you may now disconnect, ok to disconnect? I don't want to disconnect.

When I restore to the original settings, it restores but does not delete the music from the iPod.

The iPod also charges continually, it never charges full.

Please help
