Gateway laptop mx8734

Hello,
I have a gateway Laptop mx8734 and all the power lights come on when I turn it on, but in the front the color of the lights are red and blue. The screen will not come on as well as the fan is not spinning either. I was told my motherboard could be fired is this true or are the tests I can try before I assume the worst????

Hi there,

Test the output of your adapter to know if its defective,if giving correct voltage then you must definitely change the motherboard.
