Laptop cannot turn on

Hello,


my laptop is a Lenovo T61 2gb ram on Vista. It have been working well for 3.5 years, 2days ago, it automatically shut down and couldnt turn back on. When i try turn it on again, the screen color go strange and it stopped at the screen which asked you to choose"start window normally" or "laurch window repair". I tried to "start window normally" and it restarts and stop at the page again. However, it can turn on as normal just this morning
I dont have to repair disk with me and what problem would it be
?

Should i just re-install the window and send it back to IBM?
