Web cam take pictures not videos??!

Hello,
I just bought a pc cam, and i got it all set up... but i cant get it to take pics, it juss takes video's. How do i change the settings. I look for Directions... lol but i guess there not specific enough for me! lmfao. Any help would be bomb! :P

did y9ou click on the web cam icon in lower right hand corner? or the icon in programs /accessories? If that open the camera you shouldse tsetting for recording video, take a pciture, or video mAIL.
