Recover Data from Damaged file system of HDD
Closed
Hello,
I made 4 partitions C,D,E & F in my 160 GB SATA HDD (Hitachi). And installed windows XP SP2 in C drive. D got no data. But E & F having plenty of my valuable data. Last week I tried to install fedora 11 on D. but the installation was not successful and every thing went wrong. After restart the system I found no file system in my HDD. So it shows like new HDD. I tried to connect my HDD in other computer but that also showing it as a new hardware / HDD. Is there any solution to recover the data from this HDD?
Hopefully

hello: i hope the advice i respectfully type here will help. rule #1 NEVER NEVER dual-boot
operating systems.this means only one, operating system per hard disc. if you want to run two operating systems BUY another hard disc and physically plug and unplug the cables depending on which one you are using. rule #2 if you are experimenting back up your valuable data before the experiment. TO MAYBE RECOVER DATA USE :
--------------EASUS PARTITION MANAGER FREE ----
OR
-------------DISKTEST--- THESE PROGRAMS ARE ON THE NET, FIND 'EM
