IPod humming, no response

Hello, my ipod is pretty much f***ed, i'm pretty sure about that.
I tried resetting it but it couldnt even get to the Apple Logo, it just showed me the white screen of death, then it started flickering faster and faster and the humming got louder and more high-pitched so i plugged it out of my comp (which didnt register anything coz the ipod is f***ed) coz i was 'fraid it was gonna' fry the circuitry, now i get nothing, NO RESPONSE TO THE RESET!
Can anyone shed some light on this?
