Speakers stopped working

Hello,

My question is that I have a Toshiba laptop with Windows Vista. Whenever I close my laptop and open it again sometimes the sound won't work. The only way I know to get the sound to come back on again is to completely shut down and restart. Any ideas?

Try unistaling and then reinstaling sound drivers. If that doesn't work it's probably a hardware issue
