My apple ibook won't boot up

Hello,
i just got a g4 ibook from a friend. it was working alright untill one afernoon when i fel asleep and woke up to realise that the cd tray was opened and since that time when i switch it on does not boot up but only shows the grey screen with the apple logo for several hours and never boot up.please i need a solution to this problem.

HI there,

Ill advise doing same as laptops,that is remove adapter as well as battery,press on power switch and hold it for about 60 seconds then reseat battery and power on ,this must fix the issue.
