Windows shuts down on it's own

Hello, i need help with my laptop it's sop funny that last night when i used it or this morning that it worked fine but now i get this message that say's "windows has recovered from an unexpected shut down" but I'm using it in safemode with networking why is it working in that mode then? is it some virus or should i do a system restore to the date it was working fine then.
