My iPod got wet, how to make it work?

Hi. My iPod Nano (4th Gen) got soaked in alcohol. When I opened it, it still works but kind of blurry, the loud speaker won't work and there's alcohol inside. The second time I tried to open it, it was all blurry white. Will it ever work again? A friend told me to let it dry for a couple of days and then try to open it again. Should I try that? or should I bring it to the nearest electronic repair shop? Please answer ASAP!
