Hello,
All of a sudden I am unable to get any icons after logging into any user account on my system. I tried ctrl/alt/del and that does not do anything as well. Even safemode for windows XP goes blank. I need to get back to system config because I think too many programs are starting yp . Any ideas how to get to that screen? I can get into Bois (f2) and (f10).
Thanks for any advice

Try using the Windows button + E to bring up the Windows explorer. From there manually navigate yourself to the files/applications you need to modify to get your computer to a working state.

Another option is to use the recovery console on your Windows XP disk to rewrite your important windows files and repair it.
