Long Error quitting program

Hello friends!

I recently began having this sporadic problem which occurs in the middle of a game called FSX or Microsoft Flight Simulator 10. I'm flying along, and then all of a sudden, the game quits (does not go to desktop) and goes directly to a blue ominous screen with a long error message which I never get a chance to read. This happens all to often. After the long error, my computer (windows XP Intellistation pro z) restarts, but not before a very loud noise that resembles an aircraft taking off (1. no pun intended. 2. The sound definately has no correlation with fsx).

If anyone has any suggestions or ideas, they are very welcome.
