Wont detect my external HDD

Hello, my external HDD is not being detected in windows 7 but it was detected i was using it in ubuntu fine..any advice about how to get it to work with out needing to reformat?

Hi there,

Open disk management,right click on my computer>manage>disk management >you will find the device ,right click on it to create new partition or format.
