HDD not detected after switch on my PC? Closed

Hello, 

I am using windows XP and 500 GB Segate HDD in my PC. When I switch on my computer, it shows following message.
BIOS starts after a long time...

PXE-E61:Media test failure, check cable
PXE-M0F: Exiting Intel Boot Agent
No Bootable device -- Insert boot disk and press any key

How to solve this problem.  Whether how can I able to recover the data?
Any experience persons, give me the solution

Configuration: Windows XP / Internet Explorer 6.0

Hi there,

Reset your bios or you probable need to change the bios battery then boot from your windows installation cd and make a system repair and recover your files,if its required to format system then after this you will need a recovery tool to get back all your data from hard drive.use links below :
