For a couple months my computer has been telling me to replace the battery but I couldnt afford it at the time so i just used it all the time while the charger was plugged in, thats the only way to have it working. My laptop wasnt damaged as in dropping it and whatnot just one day when I went to turn it on the green light goes on for about 3 seconds and dies out and thats all it does, no screen coming on , no sound just shuts off. I bought a brand new battery for inside the laptop and let it charge and it still does the same thing , it will not turn on.... I have a fairy new laptop its a Dell Inspirion and under 5 years old. What would be causing this to happen please help.... I also tried the steps on here about taking the battery on and holding it on for 30 seconds. still nothing happens :(
