Dvd recorded but not playing on another playe

Hello,

i have a toshiba dr20 recordable dvd player, i have recorded a movie and finalized the disc (dvd-rw) it plays fine on this player but does not play on my other philips one - I have checked that the dvd does recognise and play dvd-rw any advise/ help please?!

Hi there,

The format of the written data may be different to the one supported on the other player thats the only reason its not being played,

thank you i checked the manuel it only plays dvd +rw not - rw thanks for the reply
