I guess that there are conflicts between the drivers and the operating system because of which monitor display flashes on and off using HDMI cable. So, this is related to the operating system. If the proper and compatible drivers are not installed, that is with respect to the Windows 7 operating system, then the problems will be caused again and again. So, get the display driver and it will eradicate the situation.

Hello,
Try this 1.
If you failed to get the display even when your PC is switched ON, then remove
the RAM from the slot, clean it and place it back properly or try another slot.
Check your RAM also. Even bad RAM will result you in display problem.
If you are using Video Card then remove it and place it back properly.
