Hello,
I just moved and Comcast said they are unable to add internet to my computer because my computer won't remove the old Comcast modem's IP address. They are using a new comcast modem. They said they tried to change the IP address but my computer goes right back to the old one. How can I permanently remove an IP address from my computer?

Hello
Click on start
Click on run
Type cmd click ok
In the black screen type :ipconfig/release
Enter
Turn off you modem for 3 hours. You old Ip should then have been completely release.
