Hello,

after using my laptop for a few hours yesterday and turning it off, i wake up today and turn it on but i was surprised by the continuous - very loud- beep sound. The laptop turns on and windows is loaded but the beep sound is still there

can anyone please guide me what to do?
when I heard the beep sound i unplugged the laptop from the AC adaptor, i tried switching on the laptop again, but the problem still exists

PS: i am using windows 7

Greetings

Beep sounds coming from a laptop are most often provoked by faulty ram.

I suggest you remove the stick, clean them and clean the slots with compressed air. If the beeps continue, your ram sticks are damaged and must be replaced.

oh, thanx a lot for the reply well, i found out the problem, it is a bit embarrassing
before turning off my laptop i was adjusting my microphone, and changed the microphone boost to 30 dB, i suppose this was the problem and the sound i heared was not a beep sound, it was the echo sound due to a high microphone boost

Well what do you know! Thank you for telling me, in effect 30db is a little much.
