Hello,

I did a dell factory restore on my Dell Inspirson 1525 and am now trying to download my mcafee and am getting an error message: "IE cannot download DMSetup.exe from download.mcafee.com. IE was not able to open this Internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later. " I get a similar messageswhen I attempted to download other programs. I am thinking I need to replace the hard drive, but was hoping I can do something else less drastic. Initially the problem was IE wouldn't open and then I couldn't connect and then my network window wouldn't open. Hence the factory restore..Please help any advice is welcome.
Thank you.

Dear Carol,

You will be happy to read that you do not have a virus, it is mostly due to IE and you will not need to replace your hd.

First try to download and run CCleaner:

If you are prevented from downloading, clean you cache and all temp files.

Good luck
