Hi there,
Please explain with more information what you mean by not detecting videos?when another type of dvd is inserted are the data shown or not?have you tried to use a dvd lens cleaner?you mean data on the medium is not detected or only video dvd are not playable?if so then you may be in need of codecs to play various types of video files and ill suggest also for vlc which has almost all codecs required,have it downloaded from link below:
