what kind of files are they
have you changed your user account because if you encrypt a file under a user profile then it becomes inaccessible to other account users
if not then goto the drive in which your inaccessible files are there
right click on the drive go to properties in that at top u will find tools go to tools in that u will see error checking click on check now then click on automatically fix file system errors then click on start let it finish and see if the files r now accessible
