Counter Strike 1.6 Turns off immediately!

Hello, I'm trying to start the game (Counter Strike 1.6), and everytime I press play, the game starts but then it immediately shuts down! :O
Any solutions?

What are your system specs?Can you provide them and also is direct x installed on system as well as graphic driver?
