Counter Strike 1.6 Turns off immediately! Closed

Hello, I'm trying to start the game (Counter Strike 1.6), and everytime I press play, the game starts but then it immediately shuts down! :O
Any solutions?

decrease ur graphic options from halflife in progam files 
i mean: open halflife and decrease graphic options and then change game to counter strike
hope it works
