Softwares run in windows good as mac in mcbok

Hello,
i have a question and it might sound stupid and i apologize but im a total newbie in mac os. im thinking of buying macbook and install windows xp on it so... would animation and graphics softwares run nicely and smoothly in windows as it runs in mac os on the macbook??
second question, is it better to install them on mac from the start?
i was wondering because i already have these programs for windows and buying or downloading them again for mac would take my time and i really need them fast!
