Linksys WRT54G

Hello,

I was wondering if it would be worth it to replace my old Linsys WRT54G to the newer Linksys Wrt54GS?

Hi Blender, if your router is still working fine just continue using it. The new models do not give exciting features anyway. There might be a slight problem when using your old router because by this time it might be out of warranty and you cannot get free support from Linksys anymore. Wireless G is still good. There are many router users that are just frustrated withe the new wireless N routers. Sometimes the wireless G is still performing better. Have a nice day.

I have the new WRT54GS and the only difference is mine has this speed boost but unless the adapter is also speedboost it won't make any difference 54Mb is still 54Mb as long as you have good signal strength your old router is still fine.
