Icons and my start menu is not displayed

Hello,

my icons and my start menu is not displayed when I open the windows xp screen plz
can anyone help me out in solving this problem

press CTRL + ALT + DEL

select "Task Manager"

under "Processes" find explorer.exe and kill it.


then at the top go to "file" "new task" and type explorer.exe and press OK
