Hi there,

I was in the middle of restoring our laptop, above model using alt +F10. It was half way through, when the battery died. Now it won't let me get in to reset it at all... after the start up screen it just comes up with a black screen with a white cursor. No back up discs have been made as yet, i was on my way to doing this when it happened.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Laura,

You should let your battery well charged and then carry out the restore to factory settings again. It is possible to start the restore to factory settings again and it will be advised to let the charger connected to the laptop during the process.

Thank you.

Hi laura,

Brian is right on it,so sad for you that it was interrupted and you have to start all from scratch ,as you mentioned no recovery cd was created its really sad to say that you will have to order the recovery disk from Acer website which will cost you some $.Still try your luck by using th F10 shortcut with power adapter connected as suggested .

Good luck
