The female connector on the laptop for adapter needs to be replaced messing with trying to fix with other materials can make it worse.Take to an electronic technician and have it be replaced,It can be done also by you but you need to know the temperature of your iron so that other parts do not get disassembled during this process which can make the motherboard be unusable,
