Hello,
Click on Start --> In search box, type diskmgmt.msc and press Enter. "Disk Management" window will be opened. Let me know the if your external drive appears in the disk management. and let me know the status
whether its in offline or online. If it failed to appears in the disk management then Click on Start --> In search box, type devmgmt.msc and press Enter. "Device Manager" will be opened. If there is any yellow mark then try updating the drivers.
