Not sure but be careful The dell power cord is a 90w AC and if I remember correctly the HP Dv6 is a 65W AC

Hello,
Compare the output voltage of your old power adapter with the new one. The
output voltage (V) must be the same, the amps( indicated as A) could be the
same or higher than on the original power adapter.

Im using Hp Dv 6 mine is 90 W and Dell of my friend also is the same.
