                    Hi,
Well ill rather advice to contact back your service provider and request again the free settings for service activation with also a complaint about it which you are suffering .They shall do the needful.

                    Yes, it might be actually wise to call your Internet provider because none of us here knows who your company is or any details on that.  If you call them, they should be able to troubleshoot from their end and you don't even have to have them come over or anything.                     I had this problem with XP - my ISP engineers said everything was fine, even the router. I eventually solved it by going to Network Connections, right-clicking Local Area Connection and using "repair". I had to do this every time I started. One fine day the problem ceased and I never did find out what the cause was.  Worth a try for you, anyway.
