Strange sounds coming through computer speake
Closed
Hello,
I get the sound of a bowling ball hitting bowling pins from my computer speaker sometimes. It hapopens a few times a day and it doesn't matter if I am on the interenet or just playing freecell on the desktop. I am running Windows XP. Can anyone explain this noise to me? Thank you

Do you have the weather channel desktop on your computer? It may be making the noise as an alert. I have been having the same noise and it seems to be around the same time the temperature changes or a severe weather alert comes up. I could be wrong, but I am still waiting to hear the sound again since I turned the alert sounds off..
