PDF opens instead of Word Doc.

Hello, I am trying to open files that my teachers have posted on my school website but they keep opening in PDF(Adobe) Instead of Word.
I can save the document to the desktop and "open with" word, but I have to do this every time. Is there a way that I can change the settings to always open with word?

Hi,
Right click on the file you wanna open with Word and go to Properties. In General tab, you'll see the the program which open the file (Adobe for your case). Just click on Modify. You'll have another programs for opening the file, you choose Word in this list then you close and click Apply.
Now the file will be open with the chosen program.
