Problem switching on laptop

i have a acer 2480 laptop.after i shutt down my laptoptop it gives me problems switching it back on. i have to keep on pressing the switch several times to switch it on please can u give a solution to this matter

I suggest that you take out the battery and plug in the cable.

Presse the power button and hold it 60 seconds.

Replace the battery.

It may be a static electricity problem or, I hope not, a mother board problem
