Sound stopped on HP laptop

Hello,

Are there keyboard keys that relate to sound? My cat walked on keyboard and sound stopped coming from laptop internal speakers. Not muted, and all sound manager tools say working properly. Using HP Pavilion dv6135nr with WinXP.

Greetings,

Your cat has probably walked on the volume mute button. Press it again to restore the speakers sound (it is located above the keyboard and it has a mark of a speaker)

Thanks but it is not on Mute. That would have been simple... Mute is showing as "off" wherever I can see a reference. Any other thoughts?
